We feature a reader (or set of readers) every month, plus open mic. The featured reader is asked to bring 20 minutes of material. Each open mic reader is asked to limit their work to 3 minutes so everyone gets a chance to read. If the crowd is small, the emcee may allow for a longer time per person at the open mic. Duvall Poetry attendance may be anywhere from 10 to 40 people. 

NOTE: We typically use all-ages venues that are open to the public. For current location, see Venue. Please tailor your work to those in attendance.

• 6:45 Open mic signups, socializing
• 7:00 Open mic begins
• 7:30 Featured reader presents
• 7:50 or 8:00 Break to buy books, eat cookies, socialize
• 8:00 or 8:10 Open mic continues
• 8:45 Finish up before library closes at 9!

• Sample of your work (~300 words or so, image or text) - used in the email newsletter only
• Sooner means better publicity!
